All Your Base Are Belong to Us

Posted in Life by Chris on February 4, 2008

This post has not one stitch of seriousness to it. But hell, I’ve been thinking about Being and Time and Hursthouse’s Virtue Ethics all day. So my brain hurts (if there are any students reading, yeah, happens to us too). So sometimes you need something mindless.

I discovered this in graduate school. It was the rage amongst the graduate students for a month of two. At every conceivable juncture, you were always looking to insert “Zoom Zig,” “we get signal,” “You are on your way to destruction, make your time” and “someone set up us the bomb” into the conversation.

I still think it pretty funny.

Oh, Zero Wing. Will you ever die?

It is legend. How can old 80s video games die? Defender, Missile Command, Space Invaders, Asteroids (well, okay those were 78′ and 79′) — timeless.
